EETS is a Europe-wide toll service based on a single on-board unit and a single point of contact for all administrative, contractual and billing issues.

In order to be able to offer such services, the European Commission has issued a series of regulations defining the framework conditions for the so-called EETS (European Electronic Toll Service). Back in 2018, the Federal Office for Goods Transport granted tolltickets certification as an EETS provider, paving the way for the launch of tolltickets' truck toll service throughout Europe.

The on-board unit is supplied by Kapsch TrafficCom, the sole shareholder of tolltickets. The device was developed by Kapsch and is produced in Austria as a toll device "made in Europe". This EETS OBU-5310 is currently certified in countries such as Austria, Hungary, Bulgaria, Spain, Portugal, Belgium,Germany and Sweden and will soon also be available in France, Switzerland, Denmark and Norway. A number of tunnels and bridges across Europe are also included in the service portfolio. Other countries will be available depending on the technical readiness of the toll operator, who will need to prepare the tolling system to be compliant with the EETS Directive.
